Designed for Site

We all know the level of risk that most construction sites present.

In the United Kingdom the most established training programme designed to control construction risk is the suite of CITB Site Safety Plus courses.

Hazards include falls from height, electricity, exposure to potentially harmful substances, dust, noise, vibration, UV, excavations, heavy plant operations, the list goes on. Most of those listed, when left unchecked, can result in serious injury, fatalities and life changing chronic illness.

Given the disconnected nature (geographically at least) of construction sites, safety cultures can vary from site to site within the same organisation.

It’s important for every site worker to understand their own health and responsibilities, from operatives working safely, to site mangers establishing safety governance. Information, instruction and training are critical.
