Author: Andrew Protheroe
After a difficult time of late, it was great to get back in the saddle and be invited to participate and offer my thoughts within Manning Construction Limited’s, Senior Management Team, Temporary Works Training day.
Discussion’s surrounding risk control methods will always spark debate, and this session, I’m glad to say was no different. A lot of focus surrounding the generation of plans - for me, my default setting will always be, that more often than not, a plan is nothing, but planning is everything (Thank you Mr. Eisenhower) - proving you have a documented plan that satisfies your compliance obligations of course :).
As a risk management consultant, it doesn’t get better than when you sit back and observe professionals working through risks and opportunities - and as for me, I’m the lucky one who gets to listen and learn all the nuances surrounding construction risk management.
